WHAT WE BELIEVE

WHAT WE

Believe

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

John 14:6 (KJV)

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9;

1 Timothy 3:16)

The Gospel

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the final authority for salvation and Christian living.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.

Acts 2:4 (KJV)

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government.

(Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11)

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer.

Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Praise and Worship

We believe in enthusiastic praise and worship.

Psalm 150 (KJV)

"Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.  2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.  3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.  4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.  5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.  6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."

Sin and Salvation

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 4:12, Acts 2:36-39)

Outreach

We believe in reaching out to our community our nation and our world through evangelism, community outreach, missions, and developing ministers.

Matthew 9:38 (KJV)

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest."
